As I sit down in the front row of black chairs, arranged so that the runway forms a cross, the lights slowly dim — and everyone locks in. A room full of fashion journalists, buyers, writers, photographers, stylists, and generally stylish people, we all fall quiet, awaiting the first of the 25 runway shows about to begin.
